Hummus

This is my "go to" recipe for hummus.  It is very simple, so whether you are a novice in the kitchen or an expert, this is sure to turn out great.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 4 pickled jalapenos add more if desired
  • 4 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 1/2 tsp pickled jalapeno juice up tp 1 tsp

Instructions
 

  • Rinse and drain chickpeas
  • Combine all ingredients into a blender
  • Blend until texture is smooth
  • Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup water to thin (as needed)
  • Top with cilantro if desired
