Ingredients
  

  • 1 to 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup onion diced
  • 2-1/2 lbs ground beef lean
  • 4 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 14.5 ounce can fire roasted tomatoes diced
  • 1 14.5 ounce can tomatoes diced
  • 1 6 ounce can tomato paste
  • 1 4 ounce can diced green chiles

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oil over medium-high heat using a dutch oven, skillet or non-stick pan. Add chopped onion and cook 4 - 5 minutes, until translucent. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  • Add the ground beef and cook for 7 - 10 minutes, breaking apart as you cook. The ground beef should be browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, stirring to combine, and reduce to low. Cover the pan and let it simmer for 1-1/2 to 2 hours, until desire thickness.
