Red Enchilada Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Combine the flour and all spiced in a bowl.
  • Pre-heat a large saucepan on medium heat, with the olive oil.
  • Once the pan is hot, add the spice mixture and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Add tomato paste, and slowly add in the chicken broth, whisking as you add.
  • Bring to a simmer, and cook 5 to 7 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  • Remove from heat, and mix in the apple cider vinegar.
