Method
- Combine water, sugar, and yeast. Stir, then allow to sit 10 minutes or until foamy.
- Add remaining ingredients and knead for approximately 7 minutes.
- Cover and allow to rise for 60 to 90 minutes, or until the dough doubles in size.
- Punch down the dough, then divide in half.
- Shape into two loaves, then place each into a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and allow to rise 45 to 60 minutes, or until the dough doubles in size.
- Brush an egg wash on each each loaf, then bake at 350 °F for 25 to 30 minutes.
