Combine flour, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl, using a whisk.
Add vegetable oil and warm water to the dry ingredients.
Mix until it starts to come together into a ball.
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead until it becomes smooth and soft. (1 to 2 minutes)
Divide the dough into 8 even parts and shape into balls.
Cover, and let rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
Place each dough ball onto a lightly floured surface and roll out until it is very thin. (under 1/2 inch)
Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat.
Place one tortilla into the skillet and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on the first side. Flip once the bottom has golden brown spots and the top starts to bubble and puff up.
Flip your tortilla and cook the other side until you see golden spots (30 seconds).
Repeat with the remaining tortillas. Make sure to keep your tortillas lightly covered to prevent them from drying out until you are ready to serve.
